Designed under the guidance of Sir William Lyons, the car was a longer and lower version of Jaguar's D-Type. Manufactured between 1961 and 1975, its combination of good looks, high performance, and competitive pricing established the marquee as an icon of 1960s motoring. On its release Enzo Ferrari called it The most beautiful car ever made. The 1967 XKE Roadster is often considered one of the most desirable models produced by Jaguar, and thus remaining highly collectable today. This particular Roadster's unique color combination of Opalescent Silver Blue paintwork over the original Dark Blue leather appointments is not only stunning, but quite rare. Bright polished trim, bumpers and complimenting chrome wire wheels complete the presentation. Fresh off of a complete mechanical renewal, this outstanding car and fantastic driver is well suited for touring and would credit to any collection. 1E14936 was completed on February 28, 1967 and distributed on the 24th of April through Jaguar Cars, New York to its first owner R.S. Goldsamt. The Roadster would receive a thorough nut-and-bolt restoration during the early 1990's and then was put away in a New Mexico garage where it sat unused for nearly two decades. The last registration on the license plate expired in September of 1993. Upon discovery the car was purchased by DriverSource and we began an extensive engine-out mechanical freshening and cosmetic detailing was in house. The reviving of the car was completed June 2015, addressing the entire braking system, all new hoses, rubbers, fluids and filters throughout, top-end rebuild of the engine, clutch and hydraulics, along with all new engine gaskets and ignition components. The brake master cylinder and calipers were rebuilt by the acclaimed White Post Restorations and come with a warranty. The original 4.2 Litre motor performs well and has precise shifting, handling and braking. All lights and signals are in proper working order, including the wipers and instruments. The leather upholstery, top and boot cover show very well with original lacquered wood wheel and Blaupunkt radio with rare winged bezel. This numbers-matching example still exhibits its factory body # tag located behind the rear license plate and comes complete with concours quality tool roll, jack in pouch, Thor hammer, owner's manual and spare assembly. The revered XKE model of 1967 is the last to wear closed headlamps and to possess the triple-carbureted un-smoged larger motor - its looks and power produced one of the greatest examples Jaguar ever manufactured. Here is a beautiful example to consider. We welcome and encourage inspections and are happy assist in any way. $152,500.00 Offers Welcomed Full Resolution Photos: 1967 Jaguar E-type Series I OTS To learn more about this vehicle, please contact our sales department at (281) 497-1000 or sales@driversource.com SELLING YOUR CAR?
