Brighton Motorsports is excited to present this very nice example of the classic 1957 Chevy Bel-Air 2 door Post Coupe. This American Icon retains much of its originality and is a real pleasure to drive. The body is solid and straight with only one small spot of rust on the lower front fender. It has received a quality re-paint in the original color code 818 Sierra Gold with an Adobe Beige top. The upholstery was redone in the original Copper and Black 2-tone color scheme (trim code 667) using a diamond-pleat vinyl. This was probably done in the late 70's, when the original cloth seats began to look worn. Inside, the dashboard, seats, door panels, headliner, gauges and hardware are all in great condition for their age. Power is provided by its original and very healthy 283ci V8 4bbl hooked up to a smooth shifting 4-speed trans with a Hurst shifter. All of the components in the car from the window cranks and door handles to the instruments work as they should. The deep rumble from the dual chrome tipped exhaust brings you back to the drive-in. This Bel Air is from Oregon, where the previous owner took it to local shows and enjoyed cruise nights in it. He lovingly cared for this car for over two decades and tastefully installed a helpful auxiliary instrument cluster on the lower left side of the dash, it includes oil pressure, water temperature, and amperes gauges. The 15" billet aluminum Centerline rims are unmarked and the modern tires have a considerable amount of tread left on them. The mass quantity of chrome and trim are in good shape with very little pitting and no rust. If you have been looking for a fantastic Sunday or car show cruiser for reasonable money, this is the one for you. It moves out strong and rolls down the interstate at 75mph comfortably.
The "Triple 5's" Chevys are without question some of the most recognizable cars in the world and people of all ages appreciate this classic piece of Americana. Also, the essential white fuzzy dice do indeed come with the car.
