STOKED Fred Stoke's All Steel Modified 1932 Ford Roadster CNC Motors is extremely proud to offer this incredible 1932 Ford Roadster. First a little about us and how we acquired this special car. Then we will get on to the good stuff......this 32!!!! We are a family owned business that has become one of the largest exotic car dealers in the US after ten years of hard work and selling really nice cars! We just recently acquired this 32 Ford in a recent 4 car deal/trade. We are not experts on Hot Rods but we could easily see the amount of time, hard work, passion and money that went into this 32 and could not believe our eyes and what we had stumbled upon! We brought the car to our showroom and it wasn't even a week before a client/friend of ours who is a huge 32 enthusiast saw the car and how special it was. He did the research on the forums and called the builders to come up with all the important details. He said that a car this amazing has to be very well know within the community and told us he would track down the details......what he found was as follows. Build Name STOKED Featured at the 2010 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, CA Fred Stoke, a man with more than fifty years of rodding and racing experience, has joined forces with Paul Shaugnessey, owner of New Metal Kustoms. Paul is a rising star in the custom car building scene and employs a sophisticated knowledge of both old school and contemporary techniques. Paul's abilities range from forging and welding to the latest metal shaping and finishing processes. The unique blend of Fred's lifelong automotive experience and Paul's creative talent has produced this very evolved example of the most iconic of all hot rods, the deuce hi boy. I spoke with New Metal Kustoms about the car. It was built in 2008-2010, and has about 5,000 hours in the build. There are numerous hand fabricated parts from the exhaust, tail lights, body, frame, to the wish bone front suspension, etc, etc. New Metal Kustoms did most of the work and they know the most about the build details. He said the idea/goal was to see how far they could really push the envelope in quality, creating one of the nicest '32s possible. That's why it's so over-the-top, with a level of quality rarely seen even from the industry's leading builders. When I inquired about value, he was difficult to pin down, so I tried posing the question from a few different angles. He stated that the car was built for under $500K, and his shop individually received nowhere near that amount, but wasn't exactly sure of the final number because other vendors had worked on it that were paid directly from the owner who commissioned the build. He said if somebody walked in his shop today and wanted a similar build, it would cost somewhere between $300-800K depending on how crazy of a car they desired. He said that the car was first shown at the 2010 Grand National Roadster Show, and then later disappeared for a while and changed hands a couple times (he thinks). It seems to me that any future buyer could easily contact everyone that's worked on it, taking a lot of the mystery and hassle out if it has any future issues with the drivetrain or paint. -
