Known History

** Note: Price is in US Dollars **

This series 3 Jaguar E-Type is the last generation of what can be argued as the most beautiful classic car of the 20th century. This 1971-1975 generation features some significant upgrades over the series 2. One of the biggest upgrades is the 5.3L V12 engine. The V12 engine is capable of producing 314hp and acceleration to 100km/h is said to be under 7 seconds.

A very special car, probably the best E-Type Series III V12 Coupe anywhere. Highly desirable first year Series III with highest horsepower rating and small bumpers. Original colour Regency Red over black. Fully optioned from new with 4 Speed Manual transmission, Wire wheels, Air Conditioning, Power Antenna and original Becker Europa radio. A bare metal respray and body assembly completed in 2009 by famed concours winner and marque specialist, RX Autoworks. Only 1,800 miles since restoration for total mileage of 58,534 miles. Original California/Oregon car with copies of all titles, imported to Canada in 2007 with only 2 Canadian owners since. All titles, service records, detailed description of restoration, JCNA Score Sheets compiled in a single binder. All books, tools, jack and service manuals, plus advertising materials included. Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate. Numerous Awards and trophies (included). Three JCNA judging scores for average of 99.85 points. Awarded “Best Debuting Restoration” 2009 All British Field Meet. Awarded “Best E-Type” overall at E-Type 50th Anniversary Concours at Jaguars on the Island 2011. Awarded “Best E-Type” Van Dusen Gardens Luxury and Supercar Weekend 2011. Car currently has Moto Lita steering wheel fitted but comes with original.

Other upgrades to the series 3 E-Type include better brakes and standard power steering. The 4-speed manual transmission is easy to shift and the clutch is light enough to be used in daily traffic. The interior of the E-Type features seating for 4 occupants and the side hinged trunk allows for a lot of trunk space. This Jaguar E-Type also features a lot of instruments and features that we all take for granted in today’s modern cars such as oil pressure gauge, fuel warning light, hazard lights, window defrost, and a radio. These features are found on every modern car today but in 1972, not all cars had these convenience features.

Overall an impeccably restored, fastidiously maintained vehicle with full history and provenance.
