150bhp, 235 cu. in. “Blue Flame” overhead valve inline six-cylinder engine, three single-barrel sidedraft carburetors, Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission, independent front suspension with unequal-length A-arms, coil springs, and stabilizer bar, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 102"

The 1954 Corvette Roadster offered here is a late-production example that benefits from a complete, photo-documented restoration to the highest standards of authenticity. While the car was previously finished in red, careful disassembly revealed conclusive proof that this Corvette is in fact one of the 300 original examples that were factory-finished in Pennant Blue, out of total 1954 Corvette production of 3,640 cars. The body was completely disassembled and stripped, then professionally repaired and refinished, with no area left untouched. During reassembly, all weather stripping, seals and rubber components were expertly replaced as well. As completed, the handsome exterior is complemented by flawless brightwork, a correct beige convertible top, and red painted steel wheels with full bright wheel covers and period correct wide whitewall tires.

The Corvette’s frame was also determined to be sound during the car’s disassembly, and was prepared for paint and correctly refinished. In addition, all suspension components were completely disassembled, rebuilt and refinished, while new brakes, wheel cylinders and hydraulic lines were installed as well. The steering box was completely rebuilt, and the rear axle housing and differential were completely disassembled, inspected, rebuilt, and refinished prior to their installation in the restored chassis.

The “Blue Flame” inline six-cylinder engine was thoroughly disassembled and inspected, then rebuilt and expertly refinished with correct paint colors, emblems, hoses, wires, and associated components throughout. The trio of Carter Type YH carburetors was completely rebuilt as well, and is fitted with a correct dual-element air cleaner setup. The restored interior is equally flawless, and is bathed in correct Shoreline Beige upholstery with tan carpeting. Period correct and attractive throughout, the Corvette is also well-equipped with directional signals, a parking brake alarm, courtesy lamps, windshield washer, heater, and signal-seeking radio.

Period correct and presented just as it was the day it left the St. Louis, Missouri Corvette assembly plant, this Corvette is offered complete with a large album of photographs documenting the restoration process. It remains outstanding throughout and, with just 200 miles since completing its restoration, would be welcomed at the most respected show events.
