1955 saw the introduction of the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud which replaced the Silver Dawn. Whilst it retained the same 4,887 cc engine as its predecessor it featured a stunning new standard steel body designed by J.P.Blatchley. It was not until 1965 that the Cloud was replaced by the Silver Shadow. The ultimate iteration of the Silver Cloud was the Cloud III which was introduced in 1963 and of which there were 2,044 built. The Silver Cloud III has a 6.2 litre V8 engine.

This lovely Australian delivered example has covered just 112,000 miles and is in very original condition. Delivered by York Motors its first owner was the Governor of Queensland. The car was purchased from the Queensland Government in 1966 by a Mr Bailey. He in turn sold the car to his friend Geoff Robertson of Ballarat the owner of Franklins Caravans for his wife to drive before it went to Kellows when they purchased a new Silver Shadow in 1970. Having spent a period of time in a motor museum it has since been fully recommissioned and in current ownership for the last 18 years. It features factory electric windows, special order wood trim and after market correct air- conditioning.
