A 1951 MV Agusta 125cc Motor Scooter
| Count Giovanni Agusta was a pioneer of the Italian aeronautics industry. Born in Sicily, he later moved to Lombardy and in 1907 founded his company at "Cascina Costa" in Samarate (Varese). Production of Agusta aircraft soared during the First World War. In 1927 in response to the Italians' growing demand for individual motorised transport Agusta converted production from aircraft to motorcycles. MV Agusta became a racing legend thanks to outstanding progress in performance and technology. The publicity generated by its competitive success brought Cascina Costa increased sales of its range of versatile, economical bikes that responded perfectly to market demand, including models like this beautiful little scooter.
Presented in impressive condition this is a highly collectable vehicle bearing the name of a two-wheeled legend. This 1951 MV Agusta is a fantastic barn find. Imported to Australia in the early fifties by the original owner it was registered in NSW and it was last registered in 1961.It was then garaged and until refound a few years ago. Believed to be totally original with only only a upgrade to the ignition system to get the bike going. This bike starts and rides though nothing else has been touched or adjusted other than a cosmetic clean and tidy up. The property of what is believed to be only the third owner. Previous registration number bz168.
