A 1983 BMW 635 CSi Chassis: WBAEC8208081185941 Engine: 8185941
| The BMW 635 CSi is a luxury coupé sometimes referred to as the "Bavarian Ferrari". Technically highly advanced, incredibly built and with its own distinctive style it was a fast and refined automobile designed for grand touring at high speeds.
This 1983 car is an original right hand drive 635 CSi that underwent a rotisserie restoration (2000-2006) and was rebuilt as a JPS tribute car to the mid-1980s Australian Touring Car Championship winning BMW 635 driven by Denny Hulme, Tony Longhurst, Jim Richards and Prince Leopold.
It has done minimal miles since the restoration was completed in 2006. When the current owner bought the car he spent $10,000 in recommissioning (2013/4/5) and ensuring it is on the button(please note that the odometer stopped working just after the most recent service in February 2015). The car is immaculate and pristine inside and underneath. It has featured in various magazine articles (copies of which accompany the car), TV (see http://www.shannons.com.au/club/video/bmw-6-series-shannons-club-tv-episode-27/) and as a display car at Brisbane BMW (Photos supplied).
The car allegedly has the running gear of an Alpina B7 that was harvested from a wreck during the restoration. The interior is restored with M5 seats embossed with the JPS logo. This 635 CSi has Eibach springs and Konis suspension. It has been personally signed by Jim Richards on the steering wheel and under the bonnet and causes a stir wherever it is seen.
