The Ferrari 365 GT4/4BB commonly known as the Boxer was produced by the Maranello based company in 1973. Total factory production was just 387 units, of which only 58 were produced in a right hand drive version making it a very rare car in this configuration. The Berlinetta Boxer was updated by the BB 512 in 1976. It was a very fast supercar capable of exceeding 180 mph.

This example offered is one of the rare right hand drive cars which was delivered new to Australia and sold through the distributor Lowes, one of Ferrari's first overseas agents. Unfortunately not that long after taking delivery of the vehicle the car was involved in an accident and required a new body to fitted which was duly ordered from the Ferrari factory. When the body arrived it was that of the update BB512 model which was fitted to 17941. After its repairs the vehicle then underwent several changes of ownership before being again completely restored at the renowned specialists Piccola Scuderia of Sydney between April 2008 and February 2010. The accompanying invoices detail the almost $200,000 work carried out on this stunning car. This Ferrari was purchased by its current owner in 2012 since when he has undertaken 23,000 trouble free kilometres using the car to regularly travel the 300 kms from his home to Melbourne. He has meticulously maintained the vehicle to the highest level its most recent full major service, costing $10,526, having taken place on the 26th July this year when the cambelts were replaced.
