| One of 370 cars that participated in the 2008 Mille Miglia This car provides an easy and inexpensive way to participate in the Mille Miglia. Acceptance of this car is almost assured due to the car's uniqueness, and prior participation. Has FIVA Certificate
The Chrysler Saratoga has quite a racing history. A 1951 Saratoga placed 11th in Mexico's famed Carrera Panamericana race in that same year. A 1952 Saratoga won its class in the 1953 Mille Miglia piloted by Paul Fre're and Andre Milhoux. These cars were powered by the first of Chrysler's famed HEMI engines, introduced in 1951. The 5.4-liter V-8 produced 180 horsepower and made the 3,949 pound Saratoga a spirited performer. I purchased the car in December 2003 with the sole intention of participating in the Mille Miglia. Almost every component has been replace or refurbished. The frame was sand blasted and powder coated. The paint job is a good as any of the million dollar cars in the rally. An absolutely beautiful car. Listed price is a small fraction of the cost of the refurbishment.
