From new in Blu Tour de France 522 with Sabia (light tan) leather and Sabia (light tan) dash with contrasting dark blue stitching and dark blue carpets. From new with silver calipers and a special ordered “Prancing Horse” rear shelf. This nicely optioned 550 Maranello 6-speed is as good-as-they-get with 23,385 miles and comes with a no-questions CARFAX; a detailed pre-sale inspection and just received a full 30k cam belt service with new cam belts and new cam seals; the A/C rebuilt and re-charged; a new alarm battery; a full sticky switch treatment and new parking brakes by Rod Drew’s F.A.I. in Costa Mesa, CA for a total of $11,316.81. All service records back to 2005, a clean CARFAX, pre-sale inspection and the detailed invoice for the current cam belt and additional service work on file. Additionally, the front bumper was repainted to remove the normal stone chips. The wheels have been refurbished and the glass, lights and lens show almost no wear or aging. One southern California owner for the last ten years.

Both the driver’s and passenger’s seats Daytona inserts have been completely re-done in Sabia leather by Pete Ebel of Westminster Auto. The Sabia leather dash, door panels and center console feature contrasting blue stitching, are all very clean and in excellent condition with no shrinkage on the supple leather dash. The interior trim is in excellent shape and the sticky-switch problem common on the 550 Ferraris was corrected. The engine compartment and trunk are nicely detailed reflecting a cared for and well maintained Ferrari.

Introduced as the flagship of the Ferrari line in 1996, the Maranello took Ferrari back to the glory days of the long-nose, short-tail front-engined Lusso, 275 and Daytona coupes. An indisputably elegant design with both masculine and muscular styling by Pininfarina. We believe the 550 Ferraris are unquestionably the best-buy in a user-friendly V-12 Ferrari. Thanks to speed-sensitive power steering the 550 is surprisingly light and easy to drive in traffic at low speeds or on the highway at high speeds. With effortless torque, they are pleasant to drive in traffic using only two or three of their six gears and utterly relaxed in 6th gear at America’s highway speeds. The climate control works well and the cockpit is luxurious and roomy. The trunk has more than adequate capacity for true Grand Touring. The Maranello recaptures the glory days of Ferrari’s legendary front-engined V-12 sports cars. The 550s offer staggering yet effortless performance from its 485 hp 5,474 cc V12, with a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds and top speed of 199 mph, just touching the magic 200 mph mark!

550 Maranello s/n 114367 is fitted with a great sounding Stebro X mid-section muffler and a quicksilver exhaust that makes just the right sounds as the RPMs come up. Also comes with the original exhaust. Complete with the owner’s leather pouch, some of the original books and the full set of tools in their leather tool case. Also fitted with add-on Scuderia shields. Still fitted with its original and great sounding factory-installed stereo system with 6-CD changer. Excellent paint, excellent body, excellent interior. This 550 is finished in an elegant and understated color combination. Only 23,385 well-documented miles. Absolutely fully serviced, well equipped and needs nothing. A no-stories, no-excuses car that is ready to be enjoyed and admired and driven. Priced very right at $129,500 or best offer.
