1973 Porsche 911 2.4 T
| This 1973 Porsche 911 2.4 T represents the last 911 long-hood model year, Porsche’s purest version of a car by which all other sports cars have been measured for more than 50 years. This 1973 model benefits from nearly a decade of Porsche’s relentless dedication to improve and develop the breed, including a slightly lengthened wheelbase to improve handling and weight distribution, a powerful 2.4-liter engine with mechanical fuel injection to improve drivability, and the 915 five-speed transaxle with a traditional H pattern to eliminate the dogleg first gear of earlier models.
This well-kept 911’s restoration began in fall 2013, with a bare-metal, glass-out re-spray in its original Tangerine (color code 018). With a desire to maintain originality where possible, factory Porsche overspray was carefully retained in the engine and luggage compartments and below the rocker panels. The interior was revitalized with new seat covers, headliner, dash pad, knee rail, and carpeting. Rubber seals were replaced throughout. Brightwork was removed and restored. The original Fuchs wheels were beautifully restored and complemented with new centers. Boasting excellent road manners and a Blaupunkt AM/FM/ SW radio, this Porsche presents an outstanding opportunity to own a brilliant example of an early 911 that could be used as an occasional driver or pressed into even more regular service.
