1916 Buick D44 Roadster
| Here's a droptop beauty that's restored so nicely almost nobody could tell its age. Are you ready to cross the century mark with this 1916 Buick D44 roadster? Buick is one of those great brands that is at the bedrock of American automobile production, and the foundation of General Motors. So this roadster is already appealing for its history, even before you lay eyes on its beautifully restored body. It's got that classic silhouette and carries all the details right, like the wood wheels, big headlights, and thermometer radiator cap. Painted in a correct shade of what appears to be Delft Blue, this vintage Buick even has classic paint name. The interior looks amazing, and has attention-grabbing details like the studs in the door panels, and the button pattern of the tan leather wraparound bench seat. The driver gets the classic wood wheel with timing and speed controls. Even if this Buick is approaching the century mark, you get many of the gauges you want, including a working speedometer with a trip counter. Plus, there's an electric starter on the floor. We even have the owner's manual to answer any questions about this Buick's simplistic yet developed operation. So this is one of those great vintage vehicles that's not only comfortable to sit in, but it also is accommodating to drive. The engine is a work of art. If you want to wow the crowds at your next car show, just leave this Buick running, and let everyone watch the exposed pushrods and lifters do their dance. Besides just looking good, the overhead valve 225 cubic-inch inline-six produces a respectable 45 hp and a generous amount of torque. It moves this roadster at a decent pace thanks to a 3.78 rear end ratio that can easily let you run around town once you master its three-speed manual transmission pattern. This is the most senior car we have in our stock, but the appearance certainly suggests otherwise. Expertly restored and maintained, this vintage Buick is still happy to fire up and steal trophies away from all the younger metal at the shows. Call today!!
