The Porsche 911 GT2 is a high performance variant based on the 911 Turbo, and uses a similar twin-turbocharged engine, but features numerous upgrades, including engine modifications, larger brakes, and stiffer suspension calibration. The GT2 is significantly lighter than the Turbo due to its use of rear-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive, and the lightening of interior components.
Our 997 GT2 Generation 2, uniquely for a modern performance sports car, has only had one owner from new; it was first registered in 2009 and is in beautiful condition throughout, it must be said it is a real credit to its former owner. It is possibly one of the lowest mileage GT2âs for sale, with a recorded 12,500 miles and with the original service book fully stamped from Porsche.
It is rare to see a Porsche 997 GT2 finished in high-gloss Black, a stunning combination that matches the aggressive nature of the high performance sports car. The matching Black leather and alcantara interior is in flawless condition throughout. Lightweight carbon fibre sports seats are fitted with no damage to either seat bolster, these high specification seats reduce weight, whilst still providing a comfortable driving position. With a 3.6 litre flat 6 engine, coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the 997 GT2 will provide you with one of the most enjoyable driving experiences you can imagine. Porscheâs stability management system (PSM) is fitted; this automatically maintains stability and traction even at the limits of dynamic driving performance. Sensors continuously monitor the direction, speed and lateral acceleration of the car. Using this information, PSM is able to calculate the actual direction of travel at any given moment. If the car begins to over steer or under steer, PSM applies selective braking on individual wheels in order to restore stability. The car drives correctly, there is no reverberation under braking and no noise comes from the flywheel.
This wonderful high specification car is eminently collectible as well as being a fabulously usable driver, which will not disappoint upon final inspection.
