Designed in-house at MG, with final styling by Farina, the new MGB was launched at the 1962 Earls Court Motor Show. Its appeal was instant, offering a huge increase in interior space while having overall dimensions less than those of the MGA. Introduced in 1967, the 3 litre, 6 cylinder MGC looked very similar in appearance to its little brother the MGB, but closer inspection revealed the bonnet ‘bulge’ and carburettor ‘blister’ together with larger, wider tyres showed that these powerful little cars meant business.

This is a beautiful example of an MGC Coupe, having recently been subject to an impressive restoration project. Finished in red with black leather interior and red piping on the seats and doors, XYX 34G also benefits from a black Webasto sunroof that is in fine condition, ready for the approaching spring and summer months.

With sound chrome work and sporting 15‘ wire wheels, 4 speed manual gearbox and original Motorola radio, this MGC GT is sure to bring a smile to the face of any admirer of classic British engineering.
