The legendary Alfa Romeo Spyder came into production in 1966 in the form of the Duetto or 'Boat tail' as it is perhaps more commonly known. Immortalised by the film 'The Graduate' the car instantly rose to fame and began the long production line of sleek two seater open sports cars that still bear the Spyder name to this day. In 1995, Alfa Romeo introduced the revised Spyder at the Geneva Motor Show, designed in house at Alfa with assistance from Pininfarina who had penned the original design some 30 years beforehand. The car was to carry on the tradition of previous model that had ceased production in the early 1990's and was offered with a variety of engine specifications from 1800cc 16V, 2000cc 16V Twin Spark, 2000cc V6 Turbo and 3000cc V6 with either 12V or 24V. The Spyder came with a neatly folding hood that was stored under a folding cover which complimented the lines of the car when the roof was lowered. The model benefited from revised front end styling in 2003 and a new more powerful V6 engine was added to the range.

The 2.0 Litre Twin Spark example we offer today is finished in Burgundy metallic with dark tan leather interior. A Right Hand Drive five speed manual European specification car with delivery mileage, currently un-registered and with the benefit of a power hood and windows, CD player, driver and passenger airbags. The hood is finished in black cloth and the carpets are light tan complimenting the colour of the interior. A real drivers car with a classic Alfa exhaust note.
