In 1978, there were only two options available for the 911, the Turbo and the SC. The 911 SC used the 3.0 litre engine because it was more reliable and offered more opportunity for tuning in the future with 180 horsepower on tap. When compared to the 1977 Carrera 3.0, the SC was more luxurious but had less horsepower. Still, the 911 SC was an extremely popular car. In 1979 the 911 SC's engine received modifications increasing the horsepower to 188 bhp while improving fuel economy by 10 percent. Further improvements in 1980 led to the SC producing 204 horsepower.

Presented today is a rare opportunity to buy a fully restored 1980 3.0 litre 911 SC with over £10,000 spent on the car. The interior is classic black checked pasha trim of the period. The car is supplied with a detailed history and a 911 related registration "HAZ 2 911" This is a fully restored low mileage classic that is both fast and reliable.
