The 120 bhp 3.5 Litre 6 cylinder Talbot 110 Vanden Plas Sports Tourer is surely one of the most desireable English sports cars of all time. It is very rapid, very stylish, a masterpiece of design and beautifully made. Any Talbot 110 is special but this one is even more so as it was presented at the 1935 London Olympia Motor show and was subsequently owned by Talbot driver Arthur Blight (father of Talbot expert and writer Anthony). It was the subject of a very positive road test report published in The Motor of June 1936 and also another article in The Automobile of January 1988 following an extensive (and expensive) restoration carried out by its then owner Captain Diedricks - original copies of both magazines come with the car. The file contains a very comprehensive set of invoices for work carried out for Captain Diedricks by Archers of Dunmow. The present owner also commissioned further extensive work which was carried out by K & N Classic Cars and Talbot expert Bill Barrott.
This car has to be inspected to be appreciated and, especially if you are not familiar with Roesch Talbots, driven to understand just how good it really is.
