Known History

In 2006 Maserati configured a V8 Gransport specifically for F1 driver David Coulthard.

The car was delivered in the special color Touring Grey and fitted with a name plaque bearing the famous pilot’s name.

For the first European race of the 2006 F1 championship season, held in Imola, David Coulthard and Christian Klien (Red Bull Racing) and Tonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed (Scuderia Toro Rosso) were given different Maserati GranSport models, which they used to move around throughout 2006.

The cars were delivered during a special event held at Francesco Baracca Airport in Lugo di Romagna.

The GranSport models, in Touring Grey (David Coulthard), Carbon Black (Christian Klien), Mediterranean Blue (Tonio Liuzzi) and World Championship Red (Scott Speed), were offered by Karner & Grossegger Automobil Gmbh. & Co. KG, Wien.

The GranSport boasts a 4.2 V8 engine that delivers 400 bhp. It is distinguished by the big front radiator grille and wraparound front bumper and lower spoiler with sidebars. In the interior a mix of carbon and leather accentuates the sporty look.

The car came to Portugal in 2008 and since then has been in the hands of a private collector and car enthusiast.

Only 20700 kms from new.

An excellent opportunity to own a piece of motor history.
