Alfa Romeo TZ2
| Alfa Romeo TZ2
This car was sold by Autodelta in 1967 to a Mr. Volontero. The FIA papers state the following history; 1965 Jolly Hotels Rally, De Adamich – Lini winner; Trento, Bondone – Geko; Nurburgring, Zeccoli – Zeccoli; Nurburgring, Bianch – Schulze.
Volontero, after fifteen years, sold the car in 1982 to Mr. Panizza, in early 2000 the car was sold to the current owner. At this time the car was in running condition but in need of restoration. Giordanengo was commissioned to perform the work, which was completed in 2006. It is important to note that the car is not one of the six Giordanengo replicas. The engine is full dry sump TZ2 specification but is not an original unit.
The car is presented in absolute pristine condition having been restored by the mark’s premier artisan.
Exacting some of the car’s history is somewhat speculative as the documentation trail linking chassis numbers to actual period statistics at this point in time is difficult to say the least!
Interesting road going trades invited for consideration.
