The legend that is Carroll Shelby doesn't diminish and here is ample proof why! This early example, one of the first 75 to be originally fitted with the 260 cu in block was sold new in California. The first owner enjoyed CSX 2057 until the early Seventies before selling it to Oklahoma resident Larry Knox who competed extensively in Autocross events in the Salt Lake City with much success. 2057 was maintained very well through out these times and in the 80's was fully re-built to S/C specification with Halibrand wheels, roll hoops, side exhausts and flared arches adding the visual accompaniment to the Weber fed 289 engine. Since the car arrived in Europe in the mid 90's and the present owner's purchase some five years ago, 2057 has been meticulously prepared as a very competitive entrant in historic events by GTO Engineering. The car has been a much welcomed entrant to the Goodwood Revival Meeting and is a potential front runner for the hugely popular Gentleman Driver's Series.
