Chris Bangle, Henrik Fisker, and Scott Lempert penned the BMW Z07 to pay tribute to the famed 507 of the late 1950s. An undeniable sensation at the 1997 Tokyo Auto Show, the public’s overwhelmingly positive response persuaded BMW to develop a limited-production variant. Remaining faithful to the Z07 and dubbed the Z8, BMW’s stunning roadster was largely built by hand in Munich beginning with the 2000 model year. This very original, low-mileage Z8 is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over an immaculate black leather interior. One of just 926 built for 2002, it remains in outstanding condition. Beneath its captivating all-aluminum body beats the heart of a thoroughly modern and capable BMW with an aluminum space frame, robust four-cam S62 V-8, six-speed manual gearbox, traction control, highly advanced suspension, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, perfect 50/50 weight distribution, and an abundance of comfort and convenience equipment. This is a two-owner car, remaining with its original caretaker until purchased by the consignor in 2012. It has been meticulously maintained by BMW from new and is offered with its factory hardtop with stand, roll bar cover/wind screen, BMW StarTAC phone, cup holder, boot cover, manuals, and tools. Certainly one of the most collectible modern BMWs, this Z8 is an ideal candidate to show, tour, and enjoy.
