1953 Ford Sunliner Convertible Official Pace Car
| This 1953 Ford Sunliner is one of the very first Indianapolis 500 Pace Cars to be produced.
In 1953, the Golden Jubilee for Henry Ford and Ford got the honor to build the first pace cars for the Indy 500.
The Ford Pace Cars were built in an edition of 2,000 pieces, which makes the Ford a much sought after collector piece.
The Pace Car comes in his original color "White Sungate Ivory" and "Anniversary Gold". The paint is in very good condition and the chrome is also in excellent condition.
All pace cars are equipped with a 239CID Ford Flathead V8 engine and have 110 hp.
The transmission is a Fordomatic automatic transmission.
The engine and the transmission are running perfectly.
The Pace Car comes with an power convertible top, "Coronado" Continental Kit, a searchlight, Fender Skirts and many pace car details.
In the interior you will also find many pace car details and a anniversary gold dashboard.
The interior is just like the exterior in a very good condition and comfortable.
This pace car is a real collector's item and should be found in every collection.
