In 1961 Jaguar released a successful combination of everything they learned from winning races and listen to customer input, the E-Typ. Malcolm Sayer under direction of William Lyons shaped this cornerstone of Jaguar. This most popular Typ Serie 1 Flat floor with the civilized 3,8 Lit XKE, six cylinder double overhead camshafts and four-wheel disc brakes made it an ideal two seat touring car and replaced the XK 140 and 150.
The example presented here, chassies No 876686 is a former South East Region JCNA Concours Champion , fully restored in the late 1980s and early 1990s.Still in full show quality condition, it was put into dry storrage where it stayed until 2005 when the Jaguar was pulled out of storage and treated to a full mechanical restauration and detailing to JCNA Concours standarts by one of America's leading Jaguar restoration facilities. Most receipts from this period are still available. It's great look and performance surely will provide its future owner with plenty of excitement.
