Jaguar is the finest car of its class in the world. Jaguar’s elegance is a beauty that’s more than skin-deep. Inspect each sweep, each curve, each fluid line of any Jaguar, and you bear witness to Jaguar elegance-a grace of styling that has been engineered from within the heart of the automobile itself. Jaguar elegance is reflected here in this E-Type (XKE).

Legend has it that when it went on display for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, none other than Enzo Ferrari remarked that the E-Type was the most beautiful car he’d ever seen. Mr. Ferrari knew a pretty car when he saw one and he might have been one of the first to express the sentiment, but an incalculable number of others have said virtually the same thing and they’re still saying it fifty years later. This is one of the most beautiful cars in history. The Jaguar E-Type was designed by a noted aerodynamicist, Malcolm Sayer. The E-Type was meant to cheat the wind, but its glass covered headlights, long hood, short rear deck and compound curves also coincidentally looked great.

About this car:
This is a matching numbers Jaguar E-Type coming out of a prestigious personal Jaguar collection in San Diego with long term ownership. She received a complete body off restoration by John Darnell a well know concours judge, collector, and restorer in 2004-5. Car comes with Photos showing the complete restoration with every nut, bolt, and part replated or refurbished on a very sound original California rust free car. The engine, transmission, and rear axle were rebuilt as well. This XKE was in such good condition prior to its restoration that the chrome wire wheels on the car today are the untouched originals as they came from Coventry.

The history, long-term ownership, condition and drivability make this car a smart investment and a great addition to any collection. The owner of Motor Car Company personally spent over 80 hours detailing and servicing this car before putting it onto the market. She is ready to go to a new home. We will be very selective to who will be the next person to own this Jaguar. Please feel free to give us a call to answer any questions you may have and to schedule a time to see her in person.
