Porsche 901/ 911 Coupe, year December 1964. Colour ivory white (colour code 6404) with a black interior (seats with black and white block motif). This scarce Porsche 901/ 911 was fully professionally restored in Germany. The work was carried out to exact factory specifications. This Porsche 901/ 911 is in concourse condition. Since restoration the car drove only 2148 kilometres (1342 miles).
This Porsche 901/ 911 is one of the few surviving, scarce, 901/ 911 models which were built by Porsche until the end of 1964, a total of 232 cars of 901 specification have been built.
This car is chassis number 300156 dated december 1964. This first production series runs from chassis number 300001 up to 300232 (September 1964 until the end of 1964).
Because car manufacturer Peugeot of France claims numbers with a "zero" in the middle Porsche was forced to reconsider the type number. At the start of production in September 14, 1964 the 901 models featured no famous 911 type number on the bonnet. Owners and dealers added the batch to the 901 cars later. This first 901/ 911 series differs on several important details from the later models which were built from 1965.
This Porsche 901/ 911 is a scarce collector item, suitable to compete in (inter-)national concourse competitions. At the same time it is a marvelous driver, a car to enjoy on the open road.
