1939 Fiat 1500/6C Barchetta

This charming Fiat Barchetta was bodied by Touring in 1939 and was exported to Spain where it took part in numerous races. In 1972 it passed through the hands of one Carneiro Enriquez Miguel Villadeans of Barcelona before being purchased by Officina Carreras Grannoles in 1979. It returned to Italy in 1990 and three years later the car was purchased by Sportitalia Engineering of Brescia. In 1994 FIA papers were obtained for the car and it took part in various races in the Sport category. Purchased by its current owner in 1997, it then underwent restoration. As the original aluminium body was badly corroded and unsalvageable, respected body shop ATL of Como was called upon to remove the original body and replace it with a fresh new skin. In 2005 the barchetta was tested and registered for the road.
With an overall weight of circa 750kg and an in-line 1,493cc six cylinder engine, the Barchetta is a sprightly performer. Finished in silver with blue and black interior and eligible for a number of important events, this pretty Fiat 1500 Sport Barchetta is, according to the vendor, in excellent restored condition and 'on the button'.
