Known History

Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS Touring, year 1973. Chassis number: 9113601300, engine number: 6631269. Colour Grand Prix white with green Carrera lettering and green wheel centers. Black interior. Only 1590 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS cars were built, this RS Touring (M472 specification) is production number 1290. This fantastic automobile was sold new in Germany, delivered in Grand Prix white with green (only 7 cars were originally sold in these colours.) In the 1980'ies the car was extensively modified to Sport (471 specification) and the car was raced by the Dutchman Rens Ruts in the English Porsche Cup. The car was fitted with a complete Sport interior with rubber floor mats, light weight door panels, bucket seats, black roof lining, racing safety harnesses, and the light weight plastic Sport bumpers at the front and at the rear. In those years the engine was exchanged by a new original 2.7 RS engine with correct numbers. After the racing years this Carrera 2.7 RS was fully restored and overhauled to brand new condition. The restoration was carried out meticulously only using original (RS) Porsche parts. The engine has run approximately 30.000 kilometers since overhaul. The car is still in superb (excellent++) condition, near concourse! This 2.7 RS sports a gearbox with short 5th gear, Koni shocks, the original toolset and compressor to inflate the spare wheel.

In the year 2004 the car was published in the Dutch car Magazine GTO. This Carrera 2.7 RS was compared to the then brand new Porsche 911/996 GT3 RS by the renown racing driver Gijs van Lennep.

Recently the car was fully serviced and recommissioned by an official Porsche Service Dealer. All bills are present.
