A very rare Military tourer

I have just been informed that this car was originally purchased by the War Department. This makes it an extremely rare vehicle. Although there were several Military Contracts for Austin 7's, it is believed that only about 6 vehicles in total remain in existence.
The car is very original looking and sound and although it is not likely to be a concours winner as it stands, it is quite presentable and could easily be repainted if that is what you want. It also drives really well due to its Tim Myall rebuilt engine and close ratio four speed gearbox. It also has new wiring and a rebuilt radiator. These items, combined with its good suspension, steering and brakes, make this a very useable car. The two reupholstered seats are comfortable and there is plenty of elbow and leg room. It has plenty of luggage space in the tail and the hood looks like it has been recovered. All in all it is a very good practical and useable Austin 7 which ably demonstrates what great little cars they are and also what good value for money they represent.
