In 1938, Matchless and AJS became part of Associated Motorcycles (AMC), with both companies producing models under their own brands. During the amalgamations that occurred in the British motorcycle industry in the 1960’s, the Matchless four-stroke twin was replaced with the Norton twin, ending a long history of independent production. By 1967, the Matchless single cylinders had ceased production.
First registered on 13th April 1963, this delightful Matchless 350 is in largely original condition. The prominent badge on a Matchless sets the tone for a stylish motorcycle and this is a fine example of a 350 short stroke. Supplied with the original buff logbook, together with a V5C registration document and a full year’s MoT test certificate together with a selection of invoices, this Matchless is offered for sale without reserve.
