Known History

It was in September 1965 that the car on offer was delivered new to a certain Cass Hough, an American test pilot from Palm Beach, Florida. As he was then residing in London, in the prestigious Claridge Hotel, he registered his new acquisition under the British registration number of DGY 271C. He kept the car until his death in 1992, when it was sold to its second owner, a Mr. John Meier, based in Vancouver, Canada. This gentleman decided to give the car a comprehensive restoration, during 1993. On this occasion, the color was changed: the grey body color was changed to a dark green, with the interior redone into beige, instead of the original blue. In 2004, the car was bought by its third owner, a Californian couple, before it arrived in the current owner's collection. For the car to be perfect, he had it repainted black, and today it is in a superb condition. The car comes with a comprehensive file including the original user manual, an old English registration document, an expertise report dated July 2016, invoices and photos.

This car is one of the rare left-hand versions (80 units) of the Continental S3 series. It is estimated that about 30 were coupes. With its more modern looks, this Park Ward body was distinguishable from the traditional Rolls-Royce and Bentley bodies and heralded the future models. This version is also distinguished by its headlamps nicknamed "Chinese eye" because of their slant. With the flexibility of its 6.2 liters V8, this car features luxury and unusual comfort.
