Known History

The Ferrari FXX was special for being sold as part of a development programme, and was not registered for road use. Buyers were hand-picked to participate in the car's development. They became test drivers and as such, had exclusive 'behind the scenes' access to the most prestigious sports car manufacturer in the world.

The car was based on the Enzo, but incorporated significant, unique developments. The V12 engine was increased to 6 262cc, which produced 800 bhp at 8 500 rpm, some 100 bhp more than the Enzo. There was a focus on weight reduction, and the power to weight ratio was 1.44 kg per horsepower, similar to the future La Ferrari and FXX K. The gearbox incorporated the latest developments from Ferrari's F1 programme, and had a shift time of under 100 ms. The car had carbon-ceramic brakes, and telemetry was employed to help the driver improve their performance, and provide technicians with valuable data.

Ferrari built 38 examples of this extraordinary machine, amongst the most powerful ever created by the marque. One was given to Michael Schumacher, and another to Jean Todt, who was in charge of the competition department at the time.

The Ferrari FXX on offer was delivered new in Germany, with an extra front seat as an option. The owner, an important collector, was conscious of the historical value of the car and decided not to participate in the FXX programme, storing the car instead, to conserve it in totally original condition. It was later sold and was displayed as part of an automobile collection in South Korea, before returning to Germany in 2013. In 2014 the car was acquired by the current owner.

In recent years, this Ferrari FXX has been regularly and carefully kept in running condition. Since new, it has covered less than a hundred kilometres at low speeds. As this race car was not fitted with an odometer, the owner had a mileage reading done on 29 December 2017 using a telemetry system. The result is striking, it appears that the car has covered 97 km since new and only one kilometre in firth gear and the sixth has never been passed! It is clear from the car's appearance that its mileage is extremely low, and it shows no sign of wear, or having been driven on a circuit. We advise buyers to carry out a detailed inspection of the car to appreciate for themselves the exceptional condition of the car.

This Ferrari will be delivered with the three storage crates, on wheels, exactly as delivered by the factory. Two of these contain spare parts and the set of slick tyres on stands. There is an original set of red FXX covers, which includes separate covers for the seats and the steering wheel. One of the crates contains the refuelling system for use on the circuit, which has never been used. The majority of the parts stored in the crates are in immaculate condition and are mostly in their original packaging.

It is rare to find an FXX in such exceptional condition. Here is an opportunity to acquire one of the most powerful and rarest Ferrari produced, a cross between a Formula 1 and a Supercar. With just 38 examples built, it is a highly exclusive model and hard to find today and worth noting that 500 examples of the supercar LaFerrari were produced.

It is presented here in a condition that is almost identical to how it was delivered to its first owner. An exceptional circumstance for a highly collectible car.
