Known History

Chassis 07048 is one of just 473 European models produced by the factory and supplied new to the Italian market. Its first owner kept the car for only 4 years before it passed on to its long term second owner in 1978, also from Italy. He would keep the car for the following 38 years and sell it in 2015. At that time 07048 was showing 56.000 KM on the clock, believed to be very accurate.

At the time of his purchase, the current owner was not happy with the engine performances, additionally the seats were not covered with the proper vinyl. Luckily enough the rest of the interior had been kept completely intact including the proper mouse hair dashboard as well as the central console.

Shortly after the owner had an official Ferrari dealer to rebuild the complete mechanics and undercarriage at a cost of nearly EUR 50.000,- while simultaneously having the seats re-upholstered by Lupi to meet the exact specifications from period.

While the car had undergone a full quality repaint over 10 years ago it is still flawless as of today, with not a single stone chip or micro scratch showing.

Having dealt with a large number of Dino in the past, we can confirm that 07048 is among one of the very best examples that we have had on consignment. With its matching numbers and original colours confirmed by the factory as well as its Classiche “red book” Certification pending anytime soon, this truly special motorcar is now ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
