The proposed Austin_healey is a Sprite Mark I, real one "FrogEye" the first entry into the service of which was actual on May 26, 1961. The latter is of origin English and kept in its version RHD by choice of the current owner, passionate collector of British vehicles, who went to England to get it after several years to look for the perfect model. He bought it in 1997 and his ID card FIVA gives evidence of an import in Switzerland on October 25, 1997, by the current owner. Our FrogEye benefited before igs purchase by the current owner of a total restoration in "body-off,” available for consultation on a photo file, but dating from more than 20 years. Preserved with love during these last 20 years, this Austin-Healey presents a magnificent patina and all mechanical and esthetic elements is in a remarkable condition. Having windows, hood, and barrel cover, our Sprite is thus proposed completely and with all the elements of comfort which we could find in the period.
A long road test on vaudoises roads allowed to realize its very good behavior. The car spins such a small bomb, rolling up the bends one after the other and its basis on the road is without defect. Equipped with its 4 drum brakes and not with up-rank with disks, the car offers us of real sensations of old-driving, just like the box was not synchronized to 4 reports, was very well guided and so pleasant to handle of the left hand.
Many documents such as its English V5, its " test certificate " as well as its ID card FIVA are present with the vehicle, just like the photos file of its restoration. It is thus a question of very beautiful one Sprite of first series, maintained in its original configuration following the example of many of Sprite, besides English origin, what will delight a real enthusiast of "English Cars.”
