1962 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster

1 of 1,427 original Sports Roadster

Beautiful Black over Black Livery

Currently available at Carriage House Motor Cars is this beautiful factory 1962 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster. Of the 78,000 Ford Thunderbirds produced, only 1,427 were factory ordered Sport Roadsters. Because of these low proaction number and the hefty original MSRP of $5,500, the Sports Roadsters are the most desirable and sought after Ford Thunderbird. This example was built on February 27th 1962 at the Wixon Michigan Ford Assembly Plant. Its factory Black/Black Livery, which it currently still wears, is the most desirable color combination of the Ford Thunderbird. This example sports the 4-barrel 390 Cubic Inch Ford V8 mated to the Ford Cruise-O-Matic Transmission with a 3.00:1 Rear Axle. The Sports Roadster is easily recognizable by its Factory Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and the iconic Roadster Tonneau Cover. This example has 22,000 miles on the odometer and is fantastic running and driving condition. This is an exceptional time to purchase a well kept, beautiful example of a rare and highly sought after Ford Thunderbird.
