What a striking car. I immediately knew I wanted it at first sight. Then it only got better when I inspected it. Turns out it is California rust free car. Stunning factory color combination, upgraded wheels and cloth top really make it classy. It's loaded with options too. EXTERIOR: This is a California car and it is absolutely straight clean original metal. It fits unbelievably well even with the windows and top up the doors still click shut like a new car. It was born a black car, so maybe someone took extra care of it because it was black. The paint is a beautiful hard gloss with great reflection. There are a few small imperfections on the hood. Up front the bumper is show quality, the grill is beautiful original condition. It has the dual mirrors with the Buick logos on them. The spears on the quarter panels have been restored. In back the bumper is show quality and the tail lights look almost brand new condition. It also has trim around the gas cap and rear quarter stone shields. The 17 inch chrome wheels with red line radial tires really sets this car off. Up on top is a very rich German black cloth convertible with the glass rear window. INTERIOR: Inside the car is beautiful. It's born red with factory bucket seats and cushion center console. It's very well kept with some restoration. The carpets have been replaced, new reproduction floor mats. Seats were reupholstered in the proper patterns. Beautiful dash- the instrument lenses are, chrome sparkles. crystal clear. Has the speed minder and also an upgraded Buick retro stereo that fit right in, no holes were cut. It also has a Mark IV air conditioning unit mounted under the dash that will drop ice cubes in your lap. The interior lights work, even the glove box light works. The plastic steering wheel has no cracks. It is also a factory power window car. Looking up, the red convertible top frame is nice. Has a red convertible top boot, the well liner that the top goes into is new. It has it's original seat belts in front, seat belts have also been added for the rear passengers. Mounted under the dash is an oil and temperature gauge so you can monitor the engine vitals. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The compartment is all cleaned up and orderly. At the heart of it is the Wildcat 401 nailhead motor with 4 barrel carburetor and 445 lbs of torque. It's neatly painted the correct Buick aqua. The exhaust manifolds have been coated. All the nuts, bolts, gaskets and hardware is clean and fresh. The engine bay is smooth metal painted black. It has power steering and brakes. The washer bottle is there along with the original glass refill bottle. There are a few really nice upgrades too. One of them being a new air conditioning system, another is cruise control. The generator was upgraded with a new alternator. The motor is kept cool with the engine fan and auxilary electric fan in front. Very tidy and proper motor compartment. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: This trunk is huge, it has a full size spare and you don't even notice it. It has rock solid metal that has been carpeted. The spare has matching carpet cover, the jack is mounted properly. Trunk light works. Bottom of trunk lid and jamb are painted nice, weather stripping is new. Trunk clicks shut like a new car. UNDERSIDE: Super clean original California metal. No rust or patches, clean factory seams. Body bushings were replaced. Upfront the suspension and steering has been rebuilt and detailed. In back it has an air ride operated by remote. Shocks are new. Brakes were redone, has the famous big finned Buick drums. New dual exhaust with glass pack mufflers. The bottom of the motor is still spotless. The trans is spotless. This is a very classy, unique car. It will stand out because there isn't another one like it. Full of options, it is a great cruiser!
