Known History

This extremely rare Packard 626 rumble seat coupe was recently found in Eastern Washington and had been garage stored for nearly 40 years.

1929 marked the first year for standard 8 cylinder cars from Packard. This Packard 626 Coupe was originally delivered to the Seattle Packard Company in September of 1929. The car is finished in Packard Blue over Tan cloth and is remarkably original. The car was apparently ordered with Packard's optional wire wheels (rather than the stock steel wheels) and special trim package. All gauges work with the exception of the cars clock. Lights work as well. There is NO rust, with the exception of some minor surface rust. The car appears to have never been damaged. Much, if not most of the paint, appears to be original to the car. The car starts, runs and drives. It needs tires.

We have searched the globe to find another 1929 626 Coupe. We've contacted Packard restoration specialists, the Packard club, the Packard registry and countless other avenues in an attempt to locate a comparable car. What we have been able to find are JUST 4 OF THESE 626 Coupes, yes, FOUR. We have located a 1929 626 coupe that resides in a museum in Hood River Oregon, a reported '29 626 coupe in Australia, one in Northern Europe and this car.

Again, the car is in simply remarkable, original condition and quite possibly one of only 4 of these 1929 Packard 626 coupes known to exist.

This is one GREAT barn find !!!!
