This simply wonderful 1955 Volkswagen Beetle 1200 ‘Oval window’ reached the premises of Islinger in Mannheim on the 14th February 1955. The car was exported to Holland in 1993 when the 3rd owner bought it. This last owner kept the car for over 24 years! It comes fully documented from day one up to the present, including import/export documents, changes of ownership and many invoices making this an unique collection of documents. In the past this VW was completely overhauled and restored in Germany. The original interior trim has been completely re-conditioned. It has an original ‘Jupitergrau’ finish as has retained its matching numbers, original 1200 engine. This is a very special and exceptionally well-documented Oval window.

Prachtige Volkswagen Kever 1200 ‘Ovaaltje’. Dit exemplaar is nieuw geleverd aan de firma Islinger in Mannheim, Duitsland op 14 februari 1955. In maart 1993 werd de auto verkocht aan haar derde eigenaar, die de auto naar Nederland exporteerde. De derde en tevens laatste eigenaar hield de auto ruim 24 jaar in zijn bezit! Van dag één tot op heden is werkelijk alles gedocumenteerd. Ook van het importeren, exporteren en het wisselen van eigenaren zijn alle paperassen aanwezig, evenals vele facturen, uniek. In het verleden is de Kever compleet gerestaureerd en technisch gereviseerd in Duitsland. Het interieur is origineel en destijds geheel gereconditioneerd. De carrosserie is mooi en heeft perfecte passingen. Uitgevoerd in haar originele kleur ‘Jupitergrau’ en tot vandaag de dag nog steeds voorzien van haar originele ‘Matching Numbers’ 1200 motor. Kortom, een bijzonder fraai Ovaaltje met een super gedocumenteerde historie!
