Known History

The name Mangusta was deliberately chosen by the Argentine Alejandro De Tomaso, because the Mangusta was not even afraid of a cobra (at that time one of the fastest street car ever produced, in this case by Shelby)

The exciting and angular body of the De Tomaso Mangusta with a powerful Ford V8 under the winged tailgates, belonged between 1967 and 1971 to the most sought-after super sports cars of its time.

It is modern, extravagant, daring, and actually built in 401 pieces. A bubbling, booming, roaring V8 is not exactly what you'd expect in a car like this, but it's the heart of this icon.

The De Tomaso Mangusta offered here was first delivered to the USA in the spring of 1969. After probably 2 holder changes, it passed in the hands of the De Tomaso specialist PI Motorsports in Orange / California, who performed a very elaborate restoration. After completion, the car was awarded in 2006 at the Concorso Italiano in the US and then came in a Scandinavian collection.

After tireless negotiations, this dream is now in our collection.

The sports car is in excellent, almost immaculate condition. Currently it owns Swedish registration papers.

A black De Tomaso Mangusta with harmonious beige leather interior equipped with:

- Air conditioner

- 2 Vitaloni exterior mirrors,

- tinted windows

- "matching" and original 4.7 liter V8 Ford engine with Holley carburettor

- Campagnolo magnesium rims 7J15 (BF Goodridge 215-65-15) front, 8J15 (BF Goodridge 275-60-15) rear

- a car radio from the time (which you will never use)

Overall a gorgeous classic car
