In 1971 the Rolls-Royce Corniche debuted, initially available as a coupe and then a convertible, which was certainly the most desired. Many celebrities have purchased this Rolls-Royce model, including Paul MCcartney, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elton John to name a few.

Rolls-Royce Motors established Mulliner Park Ward in 1961 by merging two subsidiary companies: Park Ward of Willesden (London) a Rolls-Royce subsidiary since 1939 and H. J. Mulliner & Co. of Chiswick, which he owned since 1959.

Mulliner Park Ward built car bodies in London for Rolls-Royce and Bentley. The company closed in 1991 but Mulliner Park Ward continues to operate as a body shop department commissioned by Bentley Motors, which succeeded Rolls-Royce Motors.
