Known History

Hereby we are selling this very nice Maserati Bora for our customer.

The Maserati Bora was a landmark model from the landmark Italian sports car manufacturer. The Bora bore a number of firsts for Maserati — the first mid-engine layout and fully-independent suspension chassis. In 1968, Ferrari's rumored mid-engine Dino prompted Maserati to start designing their own mid-engine car, but with a totally different direction. Where the small Dino wasn't branded as a Ferrari and had a V6, the Bora was a larger GT and came with a V8 that owed its roots to a design from the 50s. The exterior lines of the Bora are the height of 70s Italian design, with a long, low look penned by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro of ItalDesign and it has unique features like a hydraulic system that drives everything from the pedals to the pop-up headlights. This particular 1973 Bora 4.9 has the larger 4.9 liter V8 and the original champagne color and is completely numbers-matching. The car was restored in 1989 to a very high standard and is ready to be driven — as any Maserati should be.

The service history is fully available.
