The Jaguar XJ-S was the successor to the legendary Jaguar E. The lines of the XJ-S, which was developed on the basis of the XJ limousine and equipped with the V12 engine from the E-Type Series III, were initially controversial at the time. Nevertheless, the Jaguar, built between 1975 and 1996, became a successful model with over 115,000 units. The revised HE version came onto the market in 1981. The "High Efficiency" - cylinder head and a changed fuel injection brought a clearly lower fuel consumption. The offered XJS HE was built in 1983 and is very well maintained. The twelve-cylinder engine runs silky smooth and the automatic transmission shifts silently. After extensive service work, the car was tested as a veteran in November 19.
