| A beautifully restored 230SL just as Paul Bracq intended (4 Speed Manual, No PAS, No A/C) which lives up to its name of Sport Leicht (Sports Light) before it became the still lovely, but ultimately bloated 280SL variant.
Painted in DB171 Steingrau (Stone Grey) over a Charcoal MB Tex interior with MB-1 Square Weave Dark Grey carpet this car has featured in numerous magazines, has a known ownership history from new and is accompanied by two hardback books documenting both the nut and bolt restoration completed in 2011 and a full engine rebuild in 2017.
Supplied with hardtop and benefitting from a Kinder seat and detailed history file.
Owned by an MB enthusiast for the past 10 years this car comes with more original accessories than likely any other car on the market. Years have been spent sourcing rare ORIGINAL ephemera including Owners Pouch & All Manuals, Pagoda Key Fobs,Tyre Pressure Gauge, Correct Becker Radio, Engineering Tags, Full Toolkit and a partial set of HEPCO Fitted Luggage (rare as hens teeth).
The car has been shown at numerous Concours (Revival, Prive) and MB Owners Club events but these days would definitely benefit from a refresh if wanting to be shown again. Alternatively it drives beautifully and looks simply stunning just the way it is.
Sold new to France, now UK registered and available to be viewed in London.
This is not a dealer car, this is an enthusiasts car. Cherished and detailed to the last level. One of the best you will find, regardless of how long you search.
