This is in 1903 when the Auburn Automobile Company was founded. In 1925, Erret Loban Cord bought the company which thus integrated its industrial group which included Cord, Auburn, Lycomings engines and finally Duesenberg.
In 1937, activity ceased when Erret Loban Cord sold its shares, the company then turned to the production of parts for air conditioners.

The car offered, an Auburn 851 from 1935, was imported from the United States in the late 1980s. It was probably around this time when it was restored.
In 1989, it was acquired by an amateur to form part of his collection, from which it did not come out until 30 years later.
Since then, mechanical works have been undertaken, as a complete overhaul of the engine and a general overhaul of the other mechanical components.
The two-tone blue and gray bodywork and the black imitation interior are in perfect condition.
Vehicle sold with a French “carte grise”.
