No expense was spared on this very rare car. The intent was to create a very solid, beautiful and drivable Street Rod with care to maintain the ¡§original look¡¨ while using the latest in modern day parts to ensure safety and fun! Although the car was in very good shape with most of the parts, many items had to be fabricated and lots of metal finishing by metal guru, Roy Delaney. There is a lot of metal in this big old car! The original frame was reinforced and additional cross members added to handle the power of the modern drive train. The wood floorboards were molded in with sheet metal to create the show car quality undercarriage. Items like the hinges were carefully removed, aligned, resized and chrome plated. The hand-carved brass gauge insert was delicately cleaned and patterns made for the custom digital dash gauges. The running boards were hand made to match the existing body lines. The interior was completely insulated to make the driving and listening experience as enjoyable as possible. The sound system is Competition Quality and can be exposed in minutes to the delight of the younger crowd. The ride is smooth, the power is a-plenty, the color is purple, the ¡§WOW Factor¡¨ is off the charts and Oh Yea; it¡¦s just too much fun.
