Known History

AUTOBIANCHI BIANCHINA CABRIOLET

Again we offer a rare Autobianchi Bianchina convertible with Dutch registration 03-22-BZ.

This smallest convertible ever built is from the year 12-08-1966 and was delivered new in the Netherlands. The odometer reading is now 66764 and the technical check A.P.K. is valid until 06-08-2021.

The Autobianchi has a 650cc engine, a wooden Victor steering wheel with autobianchi logo. The number plates have a chrome frame and new hubcaps and a new outside mirror have been fitted.

The Autobianchi is in a very good condition both technically and optically, the interior is also perfect and the soft top is undamaged.

This is a very nice car and really needs to be seen to get a good judgment.

....................

One of the smallest convertibles ever made, the Autobianchi Bianchina Cabriolet became popular due to an advertisement featuring Brigitte Bardot on the Jours de France pages. Incredibly fun driving, the handsome convertible flew off the shelves. Total production 8087 pieces.

Also known as the Eden Roc in France, it was loved by celebrities all over the world. HSH Prince Rainier III of Monaco was featured in one, along with Hollywood director George Lucas and speed demons Burt Richmond and Simona De Silvestro. In the past, the only available fair weather option was to drive the Transformabile, which had a fixed B pillar and a large canvas roof. This new convertible abolished the B-pillar and created a real open convertible. Other changes included the addition of Fiat's new 21.5-horsepower engine, which increased top speed to 100 / h - perfect for zips around Paris and suburbs.

For the collector looking for a fun car to cruise around the French Riviera or sip through city traffic, this Autobianchi Bianchina Cabriolet is the perfect option.

The Bianchina convertible was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show. Later, an introduction took place in the area of Saint Tropez in the majestic Eden Roc hotel, where Brigitte Bardort was staying. Her spontaneous cooperation in the introduction of this small car certainly contributed to its success and hence the addition of “eden roc” to the type designation.
