Known History

The BJ 46 on offer was delivered new in 1981 in the Charleroi region of Belgium. Its current owner would be the third to date and acquired the car in 2001. He embarked on an ambitious restoration project, which would last almost 13 years. The car was comprehensively restored, with the chassis laid bare, before receiving anti-rust treatment. A photographic report testifies to the scale of the work carried out and the folder has more than € 50,000 in invoices. This BJ was then repainted in a pretty red, and fitted with new grey vinyl upholstery and beige hood, with the two combining for a beautiful effect. The leaves of the suspension have been replaced, as well as a good number of mechanical parts. Its diesel engine, a 3432cc four-cylinder unit is known to be robust, and was serviced by its owner, but not restored since it is still working well. The BJ46 on offer has power steering, a mechanical winch and a 5-speed mechanical gearbox. It will also be delivered with its four original rims and its logbook. With an intermediate wheelbase between the long BJ45 and the short BJ42, the BJ46 is the perfect compromise between transport and off-roading capabilities. The BJs have been becoming increasingly popular, proof of the vehicle's charm and the timeless character of this distinctive looking adventure machine.
