Known History

With an original mileage of only 69,300km, this Mercedes 500 SL convertible has had only three Italian owners since new and was used sparingly. It was the taken over by a Mercedes dealer, also a collector, who was attracted by the rare state of preservation of this car. Indeed, its paint seems to be original and the dark blue leather upholstery only shows a slight patina, which gives it a certain charm. It is a second series version, with a five-speed NAG automatic transmission and an electrical system whose faults had been sorted out. Not finding the time to use this car as deserving, the owner has chosen to part with, it just like the 280 SL that we are also offering. The car comes with its service logbook and its body-colored hard-top.

Launched in 1989, this SL (W129 according to Mercedes-Benz nomenclature) had a purer design than its predecessors. It was also more comfortable and faster, especially with the 5-liter 306bhp engine of the model we are offering.

Ideal for cruises and long trips, this Mercedes convertible should offer many years of pleasure, given its limited use so far.
