Known History

At the end of 2012, Mini's official venture into WRC rallying with the Prodrive team came to an end. Prodrive had developed and run the Minis for a season, achieving good results. The WRC Team Mini Portugal then became Mini's official representative in the WRC, while Motorsport Italia took charge of maintenance and development.

Of the 34 chassis built, two were destroyed and only 11 are believed to be still active, including chassis no. 17 presented here. It began its career on the 2012 Monte-Carlo Rally and competed regularly until 2019. Enthusiasts can view its competition results at: https://www.ewrc-results.com/carinfo/14-mini-cooper-wrc-s16t/?car=928.

With 43 starts, 13 podiums and 3 victories, the car has had a well-filled career. 18 months ago, the current owner had the car and its bodywork completely reconditioned and the white paint resprayed. The decals on it at present are a wrap, which may be removed if the new owner so wishes. The car has undergone a full mechanical overhaul and has since covered only 500 km. It will be supplied with a set of parts comprising 24 wheels, a light pod, various accessories and the RRC kit.

This is therefore a rare opportunity to acquire a car which is ready to compete or to take its place in a rally-themed collection.
