Known History

The story of the Mini Moke is the story of a military project with no follow-through, which gave birth to one of the most formidable leisure cars. In August 1964, the Mini Moke was launched with the same mechanicals as the standard Mini. The MK II appeared in 1967 with some improvements to the first version.

The car on offer is one of these MK II versions registered on November 25, 1968 in France. Its current owner, a passionate collector, acquired it in 2009, the car was then in the South Ouest of France and had known only two owners before him. It still had its first registration “7 FV 66”. Yellow at the time, the bodywork was then restored to remove rust and traces of time, so stripped, repaired and repainted in its original “snow white“ color, according to the manufacturer's plate in the engine compartment. It still has its seat cushions, its soft top and its four soft doors allowing a complete closure of the car, all original. It is also equipped with its steering wheel, gear knob, and its jack in its cover, all original too. This is an interesting “4-seater“ version which has been fitted with lap belts. It is today in good general condition and a test drive has proven a normal mechanical operation. Playful, timeless and enjoying an exceptional love rating, this Moke is the essential companion, ready to give you the best of summers!
